Dear Valuable Prayer Partners,

Greetings from the bush country side of Kenya. We are really grateful for your valuable prayers as a family. I’m extremely sorry for not mailing to you earlier, as we were not in a state of communicating with anyone. As Paul writes in 2 Corinthians 1:8-11, "…we were pressed out of measure, above strength…we had the sentence of death in ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves, but in God which raiseth the dead: who delivered us, and doth deliver…Ye also helping together by prayer for us.." For the past few months we went through death threats, entry permit being revoked and severe trails. Along with that Mini was also down with malaria. Both of us lost 10kg within 2 months. But one thing we didn’t lose was the Hope of His calling. We could taste His grace who led us through. His strength was there in our weakness. There was literally no one with whom we could share and be encouraged in this strange land, except for Saju (Thomas John) of Mombassa, Prasad family in Nairobi & William who stood for the truth. But God was gracious in bringing my brother and family for a month’s visit not knowing about these problems and also Uncle Jose Mathews from Mangalore who could really encourage us in the Lord. Hope they can share to you in detail.

By God’s grace the work of the Lord is progressing amidst all these problems. We had a busy month of August with the visit of Uncle Jose Mathews and Justus family. We could witness the blessings in all the meetings arranged here. God enabled us to conduct the first 3 days residential youth conference. God brought youth’s more than we had planned. Classes & workshops were taken by JM, Justus, William & myself. For the first time in this village side, audio visual gave a great impact. There was good response to the word of God preached. God willing we are planning to have the next conference in December holidays.

We also praise God for opening the heart of a SDA Pastor (Canadian Educated), who was challenged by a book (Seventh Day Adventism found wanting) we shared to him. He has now completed the translation of this book into Luo language. We pray that this work may open the hearts of many SDA’s who are dominant in these regions. John Kennedy the Swahili school teacher who came to know the Lord in April has resigned his job and joined me for the translation work of English books to Swahili and Luo. Please uphold him in your prayers.

Please continue to pray for Mini and kids, as Mini is home schooling Stefi. Continue to pray for the translation work and also an opening for Ministry among the secondary school students.

Please continue to send encouraging mails that would take us through to be faithful in the work of the Lord.

In His Love and Service,

Titus V Zachariah
