News Letters

Psalm 143:1 , “Hear my prayer, O Lord, give ear to my supplications: in thy faithfulness answer me, and in thy righteousness.”  It has been a blessed month of “answered prayer” this past month.

Every year we have a medical missionary, Paul Ciesielczyk, come to help us with medicine for free distribution.  This year the Ministry of Health refused to give us a letter to clear the medicine through customs.  They said that now we have to go through the Drugs and Poison Board in the capital.   And of course, they waited until the last minute to give us this information.  We notified some of the saints to pray and the Lord showed how only HE can handle the situation.  As Paul came into the customs area, there was a lady on one side who told the customs officer, “We have a large group so I will allow this man to go in front of us.  The customs officer looked distressed to be troubled by a large group.  Then on the other side a man started shouting, “I will NOT open my luggage for you!”  That guy caused such a scene that Paul was simply told to go through without ever opening his luggage!  Praise the LORD!  The medicine was not held, no customs fees were charged, and we were not detained for bringing in medicine without approval.  Amen.  God still answers prayer!

Medical clinics

The Lord allowed us to be in three different clinics in four days.  We took five, well-trained soul winners from the local church with us.  The whole time we were distributing medicine to help with physical ailments; these brothers were dealing with lost people one-on-one.  At the end of the four days of clinics, there were 99 people who had received Jesus Christ.  That sounds like a large number, but when you consider that five men are dealing with people for several hours a day over a four day period it is only about one soul saved per hour (per soul winner)!  So it is not “smoke and mirrors” to produce numbers.  It is just plain, hard work to deal with each soul carefully.

More Answered prayer

Thank the Lord; we received a special offering from Victory Baptist Church in Yellville , Arkansas (Pastor Kent Goodall) for our building projects.  We started building in April 2002 and we still have not finished.  During that time, the Lord enabled us to slowly build a church building, a toilet building, an 8-foot high, concrete block, security fence around the property (absolutely essential), and a pastor’s house.  All of these facilities still have some “unfinished parts.”   The pastor’s house was especially “rough,” but the national pastor and his family have never complained.  The members here have been faithful to give and to constantly pray for the Lord to supply what we were lacking.  And thank God, after three years of working, giving, and praying; the Lord used the saints at Victory (Yellville) to provide all the funds we need to finish all the buildings completely.  What a great God we have, amen?  With the dollar constantly devaluing, the Lord provided this at the perfect time.  We had decided to stop moving forward with any building before this offering!  Thank God for answered prayer.

In the local church, we had a few more people come out for soul winning this month.  And the Lord gave me eight souls in personal work.  I also baptized eight people in February.  The church continues to get closer to that time when we will turn it over completely to the local people.  Pray to that end as we desire to start another work in the Lord’s timing.  And please do not to forget to pray for our new immigration papers to be approved!  Amen.
