THE ASSOCIATION OF INKURUNZIZA (Good News) CHURCHES IN RWANDA .

Greetings in the Lovely Name of The Lord Jesus.

Although, belatedly, we wish you a Happy New Year.

We are taking this opportunity to give a background of the Association of Inkuru Nziza Churches in RWANDA .

Inkuru-Nziza means Good News in English.

RWANDA is located in the Western Rift Valley. It is part of the Great Lakes Region. We have four neighbours. North-Uganda East- Tanzania , West- Democratic Republic of Congo south- Burundi.We have a mild climate. Although Rwanda is called the Country of one thousand hills, we have also plateaus and valley. Rwanda is an ideal country for tourists. Apart from the famous mountain Gorillas, we have a diversity of fauna and flora. The aftermath of the 1994 genocide is gradually fading away. The economy is showing signs of recovering. National reconciliation is being embraced by all the strata of the population. GACACA Justice which is a community base judiciary system is being implemented. We are now top of the world in having the highest number of women in Parliament. We have now troops in Darful ( Sudan ). We are trying our level best to have smooth relationship with neighbours.

Investors are interested in investing in the country.

The Organisation was officially registered in 1962. By that time its main mission was to share the word of God using the airwaves of National Broadcasting House.(Rdio Rwanda ) Those who could afford to have radio sets were keen in listening. Later in 1979, the idea of planting churches was put into action.

Presently we do have 120 churches across the country.

We operate in all the 12 provinces of Rwanda .

We have three governing organs, namely:

·        General Assembly

·        Executive Council

·        Consultative Council.

We do have an active Evangelism Department. Our head office is located in the centre of Kigali city. The Capital of Rwanda .

We have a training centre for our churches leaders.

In Rwanda we have an umbrella which protects the interests of churches. It is known as “The Alliance of Evangelical Churches in Rwanda » acronym AER.

Fortunately, our National overseas is its chairman.

We do have also a particular Ministry dealing with sex workers. It stated in 2004. So far 40 have converted and they themselves “Life Seekers”.

On the material side, we have two charitable organizations. One deals with orphans. That is producing shelter, sometimes some are child headed school fees are paid as well as meeting medical expenses and providing food. There are………….

We also help widows. There AIDS suffers numbering….. are also taken care of e.g. micro  credit scheme and sharing the word of God every Tuesday . There are 309.

The other service to the physically handicapped. They pay home visit to identity different cases. They supply artificial limbs and have eye clinics, provide drugs for people suffering from epilepsy etc.

We thank God also for his mighty Hand  that helped some individuals who were in desperate conditions due to severe overseer who in the year 2003, had to travel to Nairobi to meet specialists. He is now fit.

One of our colleagues last year had his left leg imputed, but, now he is doing well.

Our request that we would like to help us to pray for:

·        Setting funds for building durable church

·        Having our own Bible college

·        Security proper means to help our pastors as far income is concerned.

·        Having the ability of expanding our social welfare activities.
