Report from Hermenegildo in Kuito Bie Angola.

Beloved Brethren

First we want to say thank you for your prayers. Because of your prayers God opened not only windows but also many doors that permitted us move from Lubango to Kuito Bié. Thank you again.

Since February the 7th we are in Kuito. Ten days after our arrival my wife got malaria, but now she is ok. Our two kids are studying and they are ok. Our last born is ok to.

The difficulty we are facing with is about getting a house to rent. We looked for it in the entire town and we found only houses with high prices (more than four hundred dollars per month!!!). In this moment we are sharing a house with a brother (I mean the same back yard) and we need as soon as possible to find a solution for this situation.

In spit of it, we are happy to be here. In the first two weeks we had a bible study about worship God. Many challenges were appointed. God is working inside His people. Last weekend (26 to 27 February) we went to Andulo one historic village because Dr Savimbi the leader of rebellion was living there for long time during the war period. That village was considered by UNITA movement as the capital of Angola . What a sow made me very happy. In spit of the difficulties, the people there are starving for the word of God. In the first day we had to meetings. One in the afternoon and another in the evening, with almost a hundred people. On Sunday we had two meetings attended for at least tree hundred and fifty people.

We will go back there as soon as possible for three or four days. Please, pray for it, pray also for my family, for the house we need to get and also for a part time job we need to get to help our support here.

Bests Regards

Gildo

Attached I give to you an opportunity to see what the war does. Kuito, the town where we are living since February is an example of the wickedness of the war.

Next year we will have elections, but in some places like here the democracy is very deficient. People are very afraid about the future. Please pray for the peace in Angola.

Kuito

Some years ago was a very beautiful town. During the war period was totally destroyed. Now, almost all the buildings are debris. In these conditions is very difficulty to find many houses in good conditions.
